Marcelo Viquez is an Uruguayan artist based in Palma, Spain. He was born in a peripheral neighborhood of Montevideo, Paso de la Arena, a fact that marks his multidisciplinary and autobiographical work. A keen observer who assumes the responsibility and burden of expressing the truth wherever he goes, creating a cryptic and critical work. Viquez lives and works in Mallorca for almost two decades. He has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions. In 2019, in Mexico, after residing at Taller de Los Guayabos, Guadalajara, Jalisco. Ángela Jiménez Durán (1996, Madrid). Studied at the École Nationale Supérieure d’Arts de Paris-Cergy, where she obtained a Masters degree in 2019. Her work develops in the fields of installation and sculpture, sometimes creating close encounters with writing and video, putting forward fictional narratives exploring uncertain, although possible, futures. Materiality and the temperature of different materials (poetic as well as real) appear regularly in her work. She has exhibited in different national and international spaces such as: Glassbox, Paris (2019), le Post, Paris (2019), la Roche Guyon Castle, France (2017), YGREC Gallery, Paris (2015); Espacio O, Santiago de Chile (2018); Aragon Park, Madrid (2020), Edén curated by Casa Antillón, Casa de Campo, Madrid (2020), Alimentación 30, Madrid (2019), Espacio OTR, Madrid (2019), Arte abierto, Madrid (2017); and has participated in the SIART Biennial at the Museo Tambo Quirquincho location, La Paz, Bolivia (2016).
