Iliana Scheggia studied Visual Arts in Lima- Perú at The School of Arts “ Corriente Alterna “ where she graduated in 2004 with the gold medal of her class. She also completed the following degrees: Complementary Bachelor of Arts at Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, Diploma of Therapy through Art at Universidad Femenina del Sagrado Corazón, Diploma of Education at Universidad Antonio Ruiz de Montoya and the Summer Residency Program: Sculpture, Installation New Media Art and Techno-Ceramics at SVA-School of Visual Arts, New York USA.
She has made 9 individual exhibitions both in Peru and abroad and participated in several group exhibitions. She has done various Artist-in-Residence programs such as Sculpture Space in Utica, New York, United States; Atelier 2005, Amstelveen, The Netherlands; SIM Residence in Reykjavik, Iceland; Expressiones Cultural Center, Connecticut, USA, Vermont Studio Center in Vermont USA and others.
She has participated in different art fairs at national and international level such as: PULSE New York, SCOPE Miami, Ch. ACO Santiago de Chile, PARC Lima.
Her work is part of different private and public collections, such as “Embryo” located in the city of Amstelveen, Netherlands, “Gyroscope” located in San Miguel, Lima – Peru, “Totem” in the collection of sculptures of the residence of the embassy of Peru in The Hague, The Netherlands.
