Elina Saalfeld is a Finnish-German artist. She holds a B.A-degree in fine arts from the HFBK Hamburg and is currently studying at the post gradual M.A-program Art in Context at Udk Berlin.
Her research-based works tie in with personal histories and position themselves in the intersection of private and public space. Her works often deal with the relationship of memory and nostalgia and the deconstruction of cinematic landscapes.
Saalfeld is part of the Young Valley Soil-collective alongside Cristina Rüesch, Francisca Markus and Elisa Nessler.
