Eleonora Quadri (B. Bergamo, Italy 1986) is an italian based artist who works with photography, video and writing. Her practice is inspired by historic events, personal memories, narrative potential of archive footage. She earned her MA in Literature and Contemporary Art from the University of Bologna. In 2012 she worked in the art project ‘All in good time’ curated by Stefano Raimondi e Mauro Zanchi and she joined the two-year Master of Fine Arts Photography at Fondazione Modena Arti Visive. Since 2013 she has been engaged in residencies and project as: ‘Stills’ AiR residency programme’ in Edinburgh; documentary project “Ludrimi” promoted by MOXA and Marubi film Academy, Tirana; ‘Colonos Artist Recidency’; ‘Matrimonio all’italiana’ curated by Elisa del Prete and Homemovies. Eleonora’s work has been shown at MAXXI B.A.S.E in Rome; Fondazione Carlo Gajani in Bologna; Palazzo Lucarini of contemporary art in Trevi; Art Verona; Fondazione Modena Arti Visive; La Triennale, Milano; Italienisches Kulturinstitut, Berlin; MAD Le Murate, Firenze. Since 2016 she has been holding a course at the Master photography at Fondazione Modena Arti Visive.
The residency is funded by MOVIN’UP SPETTACOLO – PERFORMING ARTS 2020 promoted by MIBACT Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism – General Directorate for Performing Arts and GAI Association for the Circuit of the Young Italian Artists together with TPP Puglia Public Theater – Apulia Region and GA/ER Association Young Italian Artists of Emilia-Romagna.
