Daniel Greenfield-Campoverde (b.1984 in Caracas, Venezuela) is a visual artist based in New York City. Trained as an architect, he holds degrees from Yale University and Pratt Institute. Exploring themes of identity, memory and place, he contests notions of cultural belonging through drawing, sculpture and installations. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including: Momenta Art (NY), BRIC Arts Media (NY), The Centro Cultural Chacao (VE) and Radiator Arts (NY). Daniel has participated in various residencies including the Watermill Center, The Wassaic Artists’ Residency and Obras Art Foundation near Evora, Portugal. He has received travel grants from Asylum Arts and the Paul Mellon Centre for British Art; the latter, to study Nicholas Grimshaw’s “Eden Project” in Cornwall, UK. His work has been reviewed in Art Observed, Architizer, El Nacional and ArteFuse.
Daniel Greenfield-Campoverde é natural de Caracas, Venezuela. Vive e trabalha em Nova Iorque (EUA). Formado em arquitetura, possui diplomas da Universidade de Yale e Pratt Institute. Sua prática artística explora temas como identidade, memória e lugar, contestando noções de pertencimento cultural por meio do desenho, escultura e instalações.
Dentre as exposições que participou destacam-se: Momenta Art (NY), BRIC Arts Media (NY), Centro Cultural Chacao (VE) e Radiator Arts (NY). Participou de várias residências artísticas, entre elas Watermill Center, Wassaic Artists’ Residency e Fundação Obras, Évora, Portugal. Daniel Greenfield-Campoverde foi contemplado com bolsas de viagem pela Asylum Arts e Paul Mellon Center for British Art, este último para estudar a obra de Nicholas Grimshaw – “Eden Project” em Cornwall, Reino Unido. Seu trabalho foi destaque nas revistas Art Observed, Architizer, El Nacional e ArteFuse.
