Chyna Cassell

Chyna Cassell is a Liberian-American event producer, writer, and artist. She has a bachelor’s in Global Studies from The New School. In 2021, she received the Eugene Lang Opportunity Award and later that year was an artist-in-residence at Casa na Ilha Residency in Brazil. Since then, she has managed community and leadership events, nonprofit fundraisers, nightlife and fashion events.

In 2023, she was the Production Manager for the ADVISRY SS24 Technicolor show in New York Fashion Week and Manager of Special Events at Junior Achievement of New York. Most recently, she partnered with the Brooklyn Public Library to facilitate a vision boarding workshop where she guided participants to use visualization as a tool to realize their aspirations.

Among her many interests are reality TV, learning new languages, travel, drawing, reading, art, watching tennis, community building, and daydreaming. She is a forthcoming artist-in-residence at Hangar Residency where she will focus on developing new and existing fiction works, visual art, and event curation.
