Yuri Firmeza (São Paulo, 1982) is prof. of the Cinema and Audiovisual course of the Federal University of Ceará. He has a PhD in Fine Arts at the University of Lisbon and Master in Visual Poetry at the School of Communication and Arts at the University of São Paulo – funded by a FAPESP research grant. Participated in film festivals and exhibitions in several cities in Brazil and abroad, among them: 11th Mercosul Biennial, Porto Alegre/RS; 64th and 62nd International Short Film Festival Oberhausen/Germany; 31st Bienal de São Paulo/SP; Turvações Estratigráficas, Museum of Art of Rio/RJ, Through the surface of the pages, Boston/USA; Amor e Ódio à Lygia Clark, Zacheta National Gallery of Art, Warsaw/Poland; Vida da Minha Vida, CCBNB, Fortaleza/CE.
