Balanta and Portuguese-Guinean, Welket Bungué, was born in Xitole (Guinea-Bissau) on February 7, 1988. Son of emigrants, Welket began his artistic training in 2005. He has a degree in Theater in the Actor branch (ESTC / Lisbon) and postgraduate in Performance (UniRio / RJ), has been a Permanent Member of the Portuguese Academy of Cinema since 2015. He directed the short films MESSAGE, WOODGREEN and BASTIEN in which he was distinguished by the ‘Best Actor Award’ and ‘Best First Work’.

Shortcutz Awards 2017. He is also a speaker for international organizations, developing Dramatic Writing, Film Script, Performances and Theater. Currently lives between Rio de Janeiro and Berlin.
