Tina Tahir is a Chicago-based artist who works in a variety of media. Her work explores the concept of impermanence. She has recently received the 2015 ARTslanT juried artist showcase award in the installation category and was shortlisted for the Georgia Fee artist/writer residency in Paris. Her group shows include Gallery 400, the Hyde Park Art Center, Threewalls, Sector 2337, all in Chicago, SCA Contemporary Art & Artlab, Albuquerque, The Project Space, Banff, CA, and the Venice Arsenale, IT. Tahir received an MFA in Studio from the University of Illinois at Chicago and MA in Visual and Critical Studies from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
