Miro Bersi is an artist whose work revolves around traditional art forms, specifically painting and sculpture. Bersi’s work tends to revolve around the figure; the human body, and the many shapes and forms that construct it, is a constant source of inspiration. Material is also a subject he explores throughout his work. Understanding how material affects the artefact as a whole is essential in his practice. Culture has also been a key theme in Bersi’s work having grown up in both Scotland and Brazil, and both cultures having influenced the development of his work over the years. Bersi received his BA in Illustration and Animation at Kingston University (London, 2019). He recently had his first solo exhibition ‘Conflito’ in November 2019 at Whitespace Gallery, Edinburgh.
