I hold a Masters of Visual Arts (Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts, 2013). My research interests are comparative subculture and underground music production, and my work in visual arts is based on those. Of my publications are: the visual essay/zine There Could be Space for Another Shadow: Punk and Early Christianity Transgressing (outside) History, in the permanent collection of Marguerite Duras Public Library (2013–), Paris and was exhibited at the Tokyo Art Book Fair (September 2013), “Are the Streets still for Dreaming? Punk, Thrash and Heavy Metal: An Unrecorded Blueprint of Beirut’s Urban Landscape’ in KISMIF 2014 conference proceedings, and in Cidades, Comunidades e Territórios (Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE-IUL), DINÂMIA’CET-IUL, Lisboa), 2015, project awarded the Step Beyond Travel grant by the European Cultural Foundation and the corresponding website has been awarded the NAWA Media Fund. As a visual artist, I have been focusing on layers music production, subculture and iconography.
