João Grama (b. 1975, Lisbon) lives and works in Lisbon. Between 2005-08 João Grama attended the Advanced Photography Studies at Ar.Co, in Lisbon, having completed the Meisterschülerstudium Program at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst in Leipzig, Germany in 2016, with a scholarship from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. In 2015 he was selected for the Young Artists EDP Prize. Named for the European Photo Awards by the Gulbenkian Foundation, in 2012, he presented his works at various locations such as the Calouste Gulbenkian Center in Paris and the Deichtorhallen Kunst und Fotografie in Hamburg. In 2016 Grama had a solo exhibition at the Chiado Museum and the CIAJG in Guimarães. His works are present in several personal and public collections in Portugal, namely Fundação EDP, Col. Figueredo Ribeiro and Novo Banco Art.
