Born in the Dominican Republic in 1988, Genesis studied drama at the National Art Drama School, where she also completed a preparatory course in visual arts. In 2014 she graduated in advertising and has worked as a designer and illustrator. She recently completed a degree in filmmaking at the Altos de Chavón Film School. In 2018, her animated short film Industrializado [Industrialised] was included in the official selection for the Havana International Festival of New Latin American Cinema. In the same year she won first place in the Scriptwriting section of the National Film Competition, FONPROCINE. “Three Bullets” is her first feature-length film.
