Director and screenwriter, Diego graduated from the University of Lima, having studied Cinema at the Escuela Internacional de Cine de San Antonio de los Baños (EICTV), Cuba. In 2019, his short film “Leche para Dos” won the Best Short Film Award at the Lima Film Festival. The film was also awarded at the Festival de Cine Al Este and had its international premiere at Palm Springs International Shortfest (USA). As a screenwriter, he worked on “Sin Fortuna”, a winning screenplay by the Peruvian Ministry of Culture’s alternative production fund. “La Oroya” is his first feature film.
