Antonio Menchen (b.1983. Toledo, Spain), is graduated in Fine Arts (Madrid), studied cinema at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and at Visual Cultures department of Goldsmiths College London. His artistic practice tackles the wide field of moving image, montage, but also the idea of collage and editing. In this sense, he develops a writing practice that helps him trying to reflect about different issues related to the image field. Antonio Menchen’s work has been shown in different contexts such as CA2M Móstoles, Laboral Gijón, The Showroom in London or MUMOK in Vienna, and in other different venues in Madrid, Barcelona and Buenos Aires. Some of his papers and writings have been published in magazines such as Concreta magazine, L’Officiel or Efímera. He has given talks and lectures in different contexts like Sociología Ordinaria, Encuentro Sin Créditos and Programa Chimenea of La Casa Encendida both in Madrid and Goldsmiths College in London.
