Born in 1966, Yves Hänggi is a painter and illustrator, who graduated at the Cantonal School of Visual Arts in Biel (Switzerland). His artistic universe is nourished by contemporary drawing, alternative comics, free figuration, singular art and art brut, influences that he mixes through various formats, supports and techniques (acrylic, ink, chalk, collage). His work has been exhibited in Switzerland, France, Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, USA, Turkey, Madagascar, and has been published by Swiss and foreign publishers. He lives and works in Porrentruy (Switzerland). He was laureate of the Culture Prize of the City of Porrentruy and spent six months in residence at the Cité internationale des arts in Paris.
