Martina Mäsiarová is an interdisciplinary artist based in Slovakia. In 2018 she finished her studies in the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava in the Department of painting, in the atelier led by a professor Daniel Fischer, later by Rastislav Podhorský and Martin Špirec. During and after her studies she attended numerous internships and art residencies (Portugal, Iceland, Sweden, Germany…).
She works with a wide range of art media – from drawing, painting, photography, text, spatial interventions or performance. She is a member of an art collective 1+1+1+1=1. Currently, she works as a lecturer of art education in a cultural centre Stanica Žilina-Záriečie and a curator and exhibition programmer in the New Synagogue, both in Žilina, Slovakia.
