Louise Prévert is a visual artist born in Paris, where she lives and works.
In her artistic practice, Louise deals with memory, with the invisible traces of trauma on people, places, also with the collective memory. By using archives, photographs, drawings, collages and words, she experiments a cross-disciplinary approach with different mediums to represent visually the memories she collects. Graduated in General Studies from the International Center of Photography, Louise Prévent also holds a Master in Business and Computer Sciences. She is a founding member of the 643 Collective. Louise is the recipient of the 2013 ICP Director’s Fellowship. In 2014, she joined the New York Foundation for the Arts’ Immigrant Artists Mentoring Program. In 2017, Louise participated to several group exhibitions, including In Search of Lost Time at ICP, To Permeate at Lite Haus Gallery in Berlin, and Luminous Bodies in Toronto. In 2013, her self-published book “Fragments” was selected by Unfolding Images photo book exhibition. She is currently splitting her time between her corporate and artistic practices.
