Lina Angel

Lina Angel is a politologist and cultural manager, and co-founder of R.A.R.O. (Residencias Artísticas Raramente Organizadas), an international residency program for artists that started in 2014 in Buenos Aires and is currently expanding to Bogotá. Lina studied Political Science and International Relations at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, graduating in 2010. Later, she traveled to Buenos Aires where she pursued a Master’s degree in Communication and Cultural Creation in 2014 and subsequently founded R.A.R.O. She has also trained in non-traditional academic spaces. In 2020, she completed a Diploma in Art Applied to Society from Uberbauhaus Residency Program. In 2023, she was selected to participate in the World Residency Meeting in London, organized by Res Artis and Acme Studios. Her work focuses on establishing connections with institutions and artists, applying for scholarship programs, fundraising, and overall project management within the residency. She has also been involved in various art spaces, artistic collectives, residency programs, and artistic studio spaces, managing and producing exhibitions, talks, and programs. Currently, Lina works as an independent cultural manager. She is particularly interested in fostering alternative forms of organization that are rooted in self-management and the collective nature of artistic practices.
