Kornel Janczy (b. 1984) lives and works in Krakow. Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, he also studied painting at the Aacademy of Arts in Munich. In his artistic practice, he is preoccupied above all with conceptualisation of space as well as with relations between nature, science and politics. In 2019 he received the degree of Doctor from the Faculty of Art of the Pedagogical University in Kraków. His works were featured in numerous art institutions both in Poland and abroad, including: Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, National Museum in Wrocław, Gallery of Contemporary Art BWA Wrocław, Silesian Museum in Katowice, Museum of Contemporary Art MOCAK in Kraków, Wrocław Contemporary Museum, Oficine 800 (Starak Familly Foundation) in Venice, Kunstverein CIAP in Hasselt, Onomatopee in Eindhoven, Spazio Culturale Antonio Ratti in Como, Gabriele Senn Galerie in Vienna.
