Kim Percy by Icaro March 21, 2023 0 Portfolios

As a visual artist, Kim Percy works within the intersection of image, space and identity.

Her primary practice includes photo-based exhibitions and installations; with a penchant for floating photo works on the surface of lakes. Playing with image and space, she invites an audience to reconsider aesthetics and social conditioning. Connecting to diverse audiences through art, is the foundation of her work. This connection also extends through teaching, curating and design.

Her recent work explores the connection between dyslexia and visual art as studies indicate that there is a prevalence of artists who may be either neurodiverse or dyslexic. Kim is concerned with how dyslexia informs her own art practice.
