Goran Tomcic (1964) is an artist and writer. He spent his childhood years in his hometown Split (Croatia) on the Adriatic cost, and later studied Art History and Comparative Literature at the University of Zagreb. Since 1990 he has been working and living in New York, until he relocated to Berlin in 2009. In 1996 he graduated from the CCS at Bard College, and holds an MA in Curatorial Studies. He is recipient of numerous grants and fellowships, including the Pollock-Krasner Grant (2007) and the MacDowell Colony Fellowship (1992, 1996).
His residency at Hangar is funded by Berlin Senate Department and Europe.
