Ekua Nyansua Yankah is a Ghanian-German art organiser who left her job with the United Nations Education, Science and Culture Organization (UNESCO) in Paris to embark on a career as a social entrepreneur. She holds a doctorate in Social Epidemiology from the prestigious London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, University of London and spent almost 15 years working for the United Nations system. Prior to that she spent a decade living in the United States, where she graduated from New York University and George Washington University and worked as a social scientist at the University of California San Francisco. Ekua is currently engaged in funding and supporting a wide range of creative projects in the visual arts. Ekua recently joined Savvy Contemporary Friends e.V. as board chair and the advisory board of ANO Ghana.
