Domingos Guimaraens (b. 1979, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil). Lives and works in Rio de Janeiro. Poet and visual artist, Doctorate in Literature Culture and contemporaneity at PUC-Rio. His works reside on the text / image border. His performances take advantage of the visual arts and literature narratives. Domingos Guimaraens has been working with Nadam Guerra in GrupoUM since 2002 and since 2008 with the collective OPAVIVARÁ! traveling and exhibiting with the group all over Brazil and abroad. Guimaraens organizes events for poetry, visual arts and integrated arts. From 2003 to 2006 he was one of the organizers of CEP20000, a Poetic Experimentation Center, which has existed in Rio de Janeiro since 1990. Since 2007 he has been one of the coordinators of the “Residences Forest Interactions Program” at Terra UNA, Serra da Mantiqueira – MG. In 2006 he published the book of poems “A Gema do Sol” and in 2008, together with Os Sete Novos, he launched the book “Amoramérica”.
