Caroline Newton currently lives and works in New York City. Her artistic practice explores the disruption of social norms and routine via performance, video and installation. Her work aims to alter perspectives of mental, physical and cultural conventions. She often investigates these concepts through movement-based pattern breaking and participatory social experimentations.
Caroline holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Communication Design from Parsons the New School for Design. She is a member of the Los Angeles-based collective, Navel, which hosted her latest solo show, A Bedroom for Strangers. (www.bedroomforstrangers.com)
