Anja Nowak studied Sociology and Fine Arts in Magdeburg (Germany), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and Vienna (Austria). She mainly works with photography, video/installation and artist book. The artist‘s work represents a complex confrontation in which she addresses questions of visibility, comparability and identity.
An important component of her artistic practice are collaborations with artists and cultural workers.
