Diogo Bento (Portugal, 1984), lives and works in Mindelo, Cabo Verde. Studied photography and landscape architecture in Lisbon, Portugal. In his artistic practice, landscape has been one of his main subjects and the primary backdrop which he uses for developing and expressing his ideas and concerns. His work being presented in either photography series or books. Founding member of AOJE, a non-profit organisation dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of photography in Cabo Verde, and one of the driving forces behind the Cabo Verde International Photography Festival and other artistic, curatorial and educational projects. He also collaborates at Koiástudio, an image and design studio based in Porto [Portugal] and Mindelo [Cabo Verde].
