Juan Palacios is a film director and researcher with a Master’s in Film from the Netherlands Film Academy. In 2016, he self-produced his first film, PEDALÓ, awarded at San Sebastián. With that prize, he funded MESETA, recognized at CPH:DOX and other festivals. His third documentary, As the Tide Comes In, premiered at IDFA and opened Visions du Reel 2024, in addition to having a wide international run.
