Artūras Čertovas (b. 1995) is an artist and spatial practitioner based between Vilnius and Bergen. Čertovas lived in the Kamchatka Peninsula when he was in his mum’s belly, then his mum flew across the world to give birth to him in her hometown, Vilnius. Besides that, he graduated in Architecture from Vilnius Tech in 2018 and was a participant in the 8th Rupert alternative education programme in 2020. His practice explores the feeling of being in-between. Space, feelings and (built) environments are the topics that he researches through social, political and personal layers. Čertovas primarily uses printed image but sometimes extends to installation, moving image, sculpture or mixed media.
