Matilde Sambo. (Venice 1993)
Graduated in Visual Arts at the IUAV University of Venice.
Through sculpture, video, sound and performance, composite narratives are generated and expanded in a dialogue to each other.
The body, both human and animal-non-human, is the hinge around which the works develop and take shape.
The works are generated as weaves, combining research and reflections on human evolution, the relationship of the body with the environment, the senses’ perception and the opposition between instinct and rationality.
Continuous is the call for the viewer to constantly reorganize their point of view through the movement of the body in space.
A vital interest for materials, including those of natural origin, follows artistic growth in a continuous confrontation with artisan knowledge and collaboration.
