The conversations also reflect issues associated with the liberation movement in Africa and expand this same concept (liberation) to a place of individual freedom. We intend to create a spoken &#8220;document&#8221; that encourages the exchange of experiences and with that a better understanding of cultural and personal history, in a dialogue between past, present, and future. [\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row full_width=&#8221;stretch_row_content&#8221;][vc_column][vc_separator color=&#8221;black&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row full_width=&#8221;stretch_row_content&#8221;][vc_column][vc_column_text]<strong>Pedro Hossi<\/strong> born in Luanda-Angola in the late 70\u2019s. With 2 years old, he came to Portugal to live with his family. At the age of 18 he started a career in theatre doing several plays in Nelson rodrigues universe. In 2002 went to New York to study in the prestiged Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute where receives a merit award at the end of the course. Afterwards moves to Paris where he performed under the direction of Jack Waltzer. Then he interpreted the protagonist in his first feature film, the film is called \u201cBorderline\u201d and it was shot between Mexico and the US\u2026 Followed by \u201cO Grande Kilapy\u201d by Zez\u00e9 Gamboa, a film that premiered at the Toronto Film Festival\u2026 In the last 5 years Pedro was involved in a series of television and cinema projects in Portugal and performed also in the film \u201cS\u00e9rgio\u201d produced by Netflix with Wagner Moura and Ana de Armas. When I open a book the proposal presented to me is the integration into that character and that is an exercise of empathy.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Jos\u00e9 Eduardo Agualusa is one of the most awarded and highly regarded Angolan writers of the present. In this episode Agualusa speaks about his childhood in Huambo and his memories of the war. The talk approaches the process of independence in Angola and some of the main figures involved in it. In this episode Concei\u00e7\u00e3o tells us about her childhood between the island, Beira and Maputo.
