Um semin\u00e1rio\/workshop de tr\u00eas dias sobre como a ra\u00e7a e o racismo t\u00eam sido parte integrante do meio da fotografia e das estrat\u00e9gias art\u00edsticas utilizadas para desvendar, corromper, e reconhecer esta hist\u00f3ria. Juntos, construiremos um vocabul\u00e1rio com o qual poderemos envolver esta hist\u00f3ria, o seu presente e examinar conceitos e abordagens cr\u00edticas ao pensamento atrav\u00e9s de quest\u00f5es de ra\u00e7a, representa\u00e7\u00f5es, e imagens visuais. Juan Orrantia<\/strong> faz trabalhos fotogr\u00e1ficos relacionados com quest\u00f5es de representa\u00e7\u00e3o, percep\u00e7\u00e3o, e hist\u00f3ria. Fundamentado na intimidade, banalidade e reflexividade, ele explora diferentes modos de interac\u00e7\u00e3o fotogr\u00e1fica com a cor, interven\u00e7\u00f5es, arquivos e o \u00e1lbum fotogr\u00e1fico. O seu livro Like Stains of Red Dirt (Dalpine) recebeu o pr\u00e9mio Fiebre Dummy, o pr\u00f3ximo VerdeRojo recebeu o primeiro pr\u00e9mio Latin American Photobook Centro de Fotografia de Montevideo, e os livros auto-publicados est\u00e3o em colec\u00e7\u00f5es como o Museu Smithsonian da Biblioteca de Arte Africana, Biblioteca de Arte Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Calouste Gulbenkian e The Tierney Foundation. Juan nasceu na Col\u00f4mbia e vive em Joanesburgo, \u00c1frica do Sul, e leccionou em universidades e institui\u00e7\u00f5es fotogr\u00e1ficas.
