The research pro\u00adject pro\u00adposals will have to relate to the topics of the Coll\u00e8ge d\u2019\u00e9tudes mon\u00addi\u00adales and to one of the fol\u00adlowing themes devel\u00adoped by the Chair Global South(s) held by Pr. Fran\u00e7oise Verg\u00e8s:<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"puce\" src=\"http:\/\/villavassilieff.net\/local\/cache-vignettes\/L8xH11\/puce-32883.gif\" alt=\"-\" width=\"8\" height=\"11\" \/>\u00a0Study the cir\u00adcu\u00adla\u00adtion of ideas and models of artistic and cul\u00adtural pro\u00adduc\u00adtion between Europe and the world.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"puce\" src=\"http:\/\/villavassilieff.net\/local\/cache-vignettes\/L8xH11\/puce-32883.gif\" alt=\"-\" width=\"8\" height=\"11\" \/>\u00a0Study within a crit\u00adical per\u00adspec\u00adtive the dif\u00adferent modes of rep\u00adre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtion of the &#8220;other&#8221;.<br class=\"autobr\" \/>In 2018 we are looking to raise the issue of artistic pro\u00adduc\u00adtion in dif\u00adfi\u00adcult con\u00addi\u00adtions, such as con\u00adflict, migra\u00adtion, polit\u00adical cen\u00adsor\u00adship as well as nat\u00adural dis\u00adas\u00adters &#8230; We will\u00a0<br class=\"autobr\" \/>favour research pro\u00adjects ques\u00adtioning the role of art as a tool for medi\u00ada\u00adtion, reflec\u00adtion or\u00a0<br class=\"autobr\" \/>action in sit\u00adu\u00ada\u00adtions of crisis.\u00a0<br class=\"autobr\" \/>Three areas of research will be par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlarly con\u00adcerned:\u00a0<strong>Feminist approaches and gender studies ; Decolonial issues ; Climate change and nat\u00adural dis\u00adas\u00adters<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Villa Vassilieff covers travel costs for the researcher and the Coll\u00e8ge d\u2019\u00e9tudes mon\u00addi\u00adales pro\u00ad\u00ad\u00advides a\u00a0<strong>2 700 euros grant\u00a0<\/strong>for a\u00a0<strong>4 weeks research<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The res\u00adi\u00ad\u00addent has access to the rich net\u00ad\u00adwork of aca\u00ad\u00addemic and artistic insti\u00ad\u00adtu\u00ad\u00adtions built by Villa Vassilieff and Maison des Sciences de l\u2019Homme, and will be offered a cus\u00ad\u00adtomized guid\u00adance through meet\u00adings with researchers and art pro\u00adfes\u00ad\u00adsionals. The res\u00adi\u00ad\u00addent will also ben\u00ad\u00adefit from the var\u00adious research pro\u00ad\u00adgrams devel\u00adoped by Villa Vassilieff with museums, public and pri\u00ad\u00advate archives, uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adties &#8211; such as the inter-uni\u00adver\u00adsity net\u00ad\u00adwork Usages des Patrimoines Num\u00e9ris\u00e9s, of which Villa Vassilieff has an active role &#8211; or art schools; those pro\u00ad\u00adgrams focus on rarely explored res\u00ad\u00adsources. Residents will be invited to con\u00adtribute to the Coll\u00e8ge d\u2019\u00e9tudes mon\u00addi\u00adales and Villa Vassilieff respec\u00ad\u00adtive events pro\u00ad\u00adgrams.<\/p>\n<p>The researcher will commit to par\u00adtic\u00adi\u00adpate in activ\u00adi\u00adties orga\u00adnized by the\u00a0<i>Global South(s)<\/i>research chair and Villa Vassilieff in rela\u00adtion to their research. Disciplines con\u00adcerned: phi\u00adlos\u00adophy, polit\u00adical science, soci\u00adology, anthro\u00adpology, global his\u00adtory, theory and his\u00adtory of art.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Admission cri\u00adteria<\/strong><br class=\"autobr\" \/>The call is ded\u00adi\u00adcated to researchers in the human\u00adi\u00adties and social sciences living and working in the Souths.\u00a0<br class=\"autobr\" \/>Spoken and written English and \/or French is required.\u00a0<br class=\"autobr\" \/>The selec\u00adtion of the can\u00addi\u00adda\u00adtures will focus on the quality of the sci\u00aden\u00adtific dossier as well as that of the sci\u00aden\u00adtific pro\u00adject and its inser\u00adtion in the areas of research of the Coll\u00e8ge d\u2019\u00e9tudes mon\u00addi\u00adales and Villa Vassilieff.\u00a0<br class=\"autobr\" \/>The can\u00addi\u00addates are invited to send their appli\u00adca\u00adtion by the\u00a0<strong>2nd of January 2018<\/strong>\u00a0to the email address\u00a0<strong>appli\u00adca\u00adtion\u00ads@msh-paris.fr<\/strong><br class=\"autobr\" \/>A selec\u00adtion com\u00admittee com\u00adposed of mem\u00adbers of both insti\u00adtu\u00adtions will be held in\u00a0<strong>March 2018<\/strong>. Results will be com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adcated to can\u00addi\u00addates within days of the com\u00admittee meeting.\u00a0<br class=\"autobr\" \/>The res\u00adi\u00addency of four con\u00adsec\u00adu\u00adtive weeks will take place\u00a0<strong>between September 2018 and June 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"spip_out\" href=\"http:\/\/villavassilieff.net\/IMG\/pdf\/call-for-residency-fmsh-villa-vassilieff-2018-eng.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Download the open call here.<\/a><\/p>\n<hr class=\"spip\" \/>\n<p><strong>La Fondation Maison des sciences de l\u2019homme (FMSH)<\/strong>\u00a0was set up in 1963 by his\u00ad\u00adto\u00adrian Fernand Braudel to pro\u00ad\u00admote the study of human soci\u00adeties and research into social and human sciences (SHS), in rela\u00ad\u00adtion with other dis\u00ad\u00ad\u00adci\u00ad\u00adplines.<br class=\"autobr\" \/>Its pri\u00ad\u00admary mis\u00ad\u00adsion is to foster the inter\u00ad\u00adna\u00ad\u00adtion\u00adal\u00adi\u00adsa\u00ad\u00adtion of SHS research by encour\u00adaging the mobility and hosting of researchers, devel\u00adoping inter\u00addis\u00ad\u00ad\u00adci\u00ad\u00adplinary and col\u00adlab\u00ado\u00adra\u00ad\u00adtive research pro\u00ad\u00adjects, dis\u00ad\u00adsem\u00adi\u00ad\u00adnating knowl\u00ad\u00adedge and pro\u00ad\u00admoting research.<br class=\"autobr\" \/>It houses and pro\u00ad\u00admotes col\u00adlec\u00ad\u00adtive research infras\u00adtruc\u00ad\u00adtures and instru\u00ad\u00adments as well as national insti\u00ad\u00adtu\u00ad\u00adtional SHS net\u00ad\u00adworks.
