It is compulsory to include a letter of interest by an Aix-Marseille University researcher to the application.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>A \u2013 SCHEDULE<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Deadline: <\/strong>18 November 2016 (this date included)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duration of residences:<\/strong> 5 or 10 months<\/p>\n<p><strong>Residence periods<\/strong> (to be chosen by the candidates, several choices are possible):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>11 Sept 2017 to 9 Feb 2018 (5 months) &#8211; scientists and artists<\/li>\n<li>19 Feb 2018 to 13 July 2018 (5 months) &#8211; scientists and artists<\/li>\n<li>11 Sept 2017 to 13 July 2018 (10 months) &#8211; only scientists<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>B \u2013 WHO CAN QUALIFY<\/h2>\n<p><strong>This call is open to scientists with official status and artists of all disciplines, both junior and senior.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>To be eligible, scientist applicants must meet the following 3 conditions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Not to have lived in France more than 12 months during the three years preceding this call for applications;<\/li>\n<li>Hold a Doctorate or PhD;<\/li>\n<li>Hold a university or research position for a minimum of two years as at the closing date of this call for applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To be eligible, artist applicants must meet the following 2 conditions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Not to have lived in France more than 12 months during the three years preceding this call for applications;<\/li>\n<li>Carry out a research project in connection with science.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>C &#8211; SELECTION CRITERIA<\/h2>\n<p>Application assessment criteria include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>candidate\u2019s course;<\/li>\n<li>research project;<\/li>\n<li>interdisciplinary component;<\/li>\n<li>Relevance of the research project in terms of its connection with the Aix-Marseille area (potential interaction with local facilities, teams and research centres; use of local resources \u2013 field, archives, etc.).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>D &#8211; LIVING CONDITIONS<\/h2>\n<h3>1- REMUNERATION<\/h3>\n<h4>Scientist remuneration<\/h4>\n<p>Scientists fall into two classes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Junior: \u20ac2,300 net monthly allowance<\/li>\n<li>Senior: \u20ac3,500 net monthly allowance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Junior class<\/strong>: Researchers who have 2 to 9 years of \u00a0full-time research experience after obtaining the PhD (PhD training is not considered in the calculation of experience) as at the closing date of the call for applications.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Senior class<\/strong>: Top-level researchers with minimum 10 years\u2019 experience in full-time research after obtaining the PhD (PhD is not considered in the calculation of experience) as at the closing date of the call for applications, and university professors.<\/p>\n<h4>Artist remuneration<\/h4>\n<p>IM\u00e9RA will pay an allowance or a salary to artists depending on their candidate status.<\/p>\n<p>Artists will receive a \u20ac2,300 net monthly allowance.<\/p>\n<h3>2. ACCOMMODATION<\/h3>\n<p>IM\u00e9RA provides free accommodation to residents in one of the apartments of the institute, situated in \u201cParc Longchamp\u201d in the center of Marseille.<\/p>\n<p>Requests for familial hosting at IM\u00e9RA shall absolutely be mentioned in the application form, for consideration. These requests will be satisfied within the constraints of the available accommodations at IM\u00e9RA&#8217;s disposal, i.e. 14 apartments from which 4 can host families (3 apartments for a couple with one child, 1 for a couple with 2 children).<\/p>\n<h3>3. TRANSPORT<\/h3>\n<p>IM\u00e9RA will pay for the residents\u2019 ticket from their usual place of residence to Marseille and back.<\/p>\n<h3>4. RESEARCH MEANS<\/h3>\n<p>Within the limits of the available budget, IM\u00e9RA can fund missions and initiatives related to research projects.<\/p>\n<p>IM\u00e9RA does not finance production means for resident artists planning to make pieces of work.<\/p>\n<h3>5. REIDENT COMMITMENTS<\/h3>\n<p>The resident accepts the charter of the Institute which involves several commitments, including: residence at the institute, contribution to IM\u00e9RA\u2019s activities and publications, participation in the residents\u2019 lunch and seminar every week, and dissemination of information on the resident\u2019s activities and achievements by IM\u00e9RA.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/imera.univ-amu.fr\/en\/commitments-resident\">http:\/\/imera.univ-amu.fr\/en\/commitments-resident<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>E \u2013CANDIDATURE<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Deadline: 18 November\u00a02016 (this date included)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applications must be in English or French.<\/p>\n<p>Candidates must submit their applications EXCLUSIVELY on IM\u00e9RA&#8217;s website (candidatures-imera.univ-amu.fr\u00a0&#8211; contact: <a href=\"mailto:pascale.hurtado@univ-amu.fr\">pascale.hurtado@univ-amu.fr<\/a>).
