Sebasti\u00e1n Guzm\u00e1n<\/strong> was born in Medell\u00edn, Colombia. He studied Visual Arts, after previously studying Engineering Physics and Mechanical Engineering, as well as completing master\u2019s degrees in engineering and renewable energy.<\/p>

Sebasti\u00e1n then worked for twelve years as an engineer on infrastructure projects in the fields of energy and water.<\/p>

This experience allowed him to engage deeply with ideas such as environmental devastation and unchecked accumulation, as well as to reflect on the notion of progress and the transformation of territory and landscape. Today, methods derived from both engineering and art intersect within his research and creative processes.<\/p>

Sebasti\u00e1n has participated in SACO Biennial 1.2 in Antofagasta; Imagen Regional 10 at Banco de la Rep\u00fablica of Colombia (2025); the group exhibition Tesis at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Bogot\u00e1 (2024); and the solo exhibitions<\/p>

Lo que todav\u00eda queda<\/em> at the Jeric\u00f3 Art Museum (MAJA) and Panta Rei: Everything Flows, Everything Changes<\/em> at the V\u00e1squez Cultural Center in Medell\u00edn (2023).<\/p>

He also participated in Coordenadas Residencies in Buenos Aires, Argentina (2025), SACO Residencies in Antofagasta, Chile (2024), and the Naviera Artistic Residency (RAN) in Medell\u00edn (2022).<\/p>
