Barber transforms the fragile medium of magnetic tape into a meditation on the beauty of impermanence and the evocative power of sound. His live performances, often staged in grand architectural spaces, mirror the scale and fragility of his work, creating immersive environments where sound and setting fuse into a transcendental experience. The sonic intensity of these performances is documented on Live at All Saints\u2019 Memorial Church, which marked the inaugural concert of experimental music in a historic 19th-century church in his hometown of Providence. His EP Border Shift was praised by Italy\u2019s Radioaktiv as one of the most exciting recent releases in the international experimental scene, and he has shared stages with Alessandro Cortini (Nine Inch Nails, Mute Records) and Beno\u00eet Pioulard (Kranky Records).
