She holds a Bachelor of Contemporary Art from the University of South Australia. Busuttil works across sculpture, installation, photography and moving image to blend personal stories, family history and fantasy. Often using found or repurposed materials, she draws on a range of cultural and historical references to examine the dualities and contradictions of her identity and of the Mediterranean.<\/p>\n<p>In 2024, Busuttil was selected for Primavera 2024: Young Australian Artists at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia. In the same year she undertook a major commission for the inaugural Malta Biennale of Art. In 2023, she was invited to present a solo exhibition, Asleep with the Fishes, at Firstdraft, Sydney in partnership with Adelaide Contemporary Experimental (ACE) Studio Program.
