In the first edition of this new competition, works by six artists aged between 25 and 35 will be acquired for a total amount of 48,000 euros, which will become part of the CGD Collection managed by Culturgest.<\/p>\n<p>Caixa Geral de Dep\u00f3sitos recently decided to reactivate programmatic acquisitions for its Contemporary Art Collection and launched the Caixa Competition for Young Artists. This new acquisition programme aims to consolidate and enhance this collection by incorporating a collection of works by the most significant contemporary Portuguese artists.<\/p>\n<p>The Caixa Geral de Dep\u00f3sitos Contemporary Art Collection is a representative collection of Portuguese art production over the last 60 years.
