[vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”5px”][vc_separator color=”black”][vc_column_text]Sara Benaglia is a visual researcher and an essayist based in Bergamo, where she runs the no-profit space BACO-BaseArteContemporaneaOdierna. She is also a lecturer at NABA in Milan in the Faculty of Design. Sara Benaglia has pursued her studies at the Dutch Art Institute (MA Art Praxis, 2019), CCA, Kitakyushu (Postgraduate Research Program, 2013), Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, Milan (BA Painting, 2012), and Accademia di Belle Arti G. Carrara, Bergamo (BA Theory and Technics of Contemporary Art, 2009). She worked as artist assistant for Joan Jonas (2013) and Chiara Fumai (2011-12). Sara collaborates with the magazines ATPdiary – where she has a column dedicated to post-photography – Doppiozero and Art e Dossier, where she focuses her essays on the hidden interconnection between humanism and the matrix of race in the \u201cItalic\u201d Renaissance context. Sara Benaglia is the author of the books The Mobility of the Matrix (Lubrina 2021), Casting the Circle (Fortino Editions 2015) and co-author of Le insidie delle immagini (2022) Metafotografia(3).
