Roldão has actively participated in the academic and public debate discussing racism in Portugal on the subject of ethno-racial inequalities in the school environment and other sectors. She participated in the 2021 Census Working Group – “Ethnic-Racial Issues” (2018/19) and also in the Working Group for the Prevention and Combat of Racism and Discrimination (2021). She was the coordinator of the “Roadmap for an Anti-racist Education” (Setúbal, 2019). That same year she co-coordinated the 7th International Afroeuropeans Conference: “In/Visibilities Contested (Lisbon, 2019). The history of Black presence and resistance in Portuguese society has been an important field of her research, with works such as “Black Feminism: Falta contar-nos ” (Público, 2019), “The Black Presence in the City of Setúbal, 16th to 18th centuries (Setúbal, 2019) and the planning of the commemorative edition of the 110th anniversary of the newspaper “O Negro” (Lisbon, 2021). This last work is a product of a collaborative ongoing research on a historically silenced generation of activists, organizations and publications from Lisbon who contributed to the resistance to Portuguese colonialism during the first half of the 20th century.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

[226

post-20197","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-advisory-board
["GET
