She holds a doctorate in Social Epidemiology from the prestigious London School of Hygiene &amp; Tropical Medicine, University of London and spent almost 15 years working for the United Nations system. Prior to that she spent a decade living in the United States, where she graduated from New York University and George Washington University and worked as a social scientist at the University of California San Francisco. Ekua is currently engaged in funding and supporting a wide range of creative projects in the visual arts.
