Price:<\/strong> FREE![\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/3″][vc_single_image image=”18153″ img_size=”full”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Through your memory, experience or living we’ll create two short movies in which we’ll reflect identity concepts, in the present and about the past.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”CONCEPT ORIENTATION” font_container=”tag:h4|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_separator color=”black”][vc_column_text]Silas Tiny was born in S\u00e3o Tom\u00e9 in 1982 and with only 5 years of age, migrated to Portugal with his family.
\nEven before concluding his filmmaking course in the Superior School of Theater and Cinema in Lisbon, in 2013, Silas creates his first documental feature film entitled Bafat\u00e1 Filme Clube (2011), in which he reflects about the significance of the Bafat\u00e1 village in Guinea Bissau during it’s colonial time and it’s later desertification, through the deactivation of the village’s cinema, place considered to be the “village’s soul” until the 1975 independence – to this day this place is guarded by the ghostly figure of Canjaj\u00e1, the old cinema’s projectionist.
\nNowadays, Silas is currently working in the post-production on two documentaries: Constela\u00e7\u00f5es do Equador and Casa Decana.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS” font_container=”tag:h4|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_separator color=”black”][vc_column_text]\u2022\u00a0 The workshop is aimed at young people from the African diaspora or immigrants, between the ages of 18 and 30;
