\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/3″][vc_single_image image=”17663″ img_size=”full”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Building on her book “Choosing the Margin as a Space of Radical Openness,” author Bell Hooks identifies the margin as a space of resistance. She writes that the margin is “much more than a site of deprivation…it is also the site of radical possibility”… “a central place for the production of a counter-hegemonic discourse that is found not only in words, but in habits of being and living.”<\/p>\n

We will try to make a mapping through the medium of photography, through micro-stories, micro-narratives, fictional or not, where we will try to convey your story and your points of view.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”CONCEPT AND ORIENTATION” font_container=”tag:h4|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_separator color=”black”][vc_column_text]Herberto Smith is a photographer, who was born in Guinea Bissau, grew up in S\u00e3o Tom\u00e9 and settled in Lisbon. His work moves between lifestyle and documentary, using portraiture as a narrative resource to tell stories that reflect his life experience and that of his friends. Currently, he collaborates with magazines and is developing a body of work related to social activism with Radio Afrolis Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Cultural.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS” font_container=”tag:h4|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_separator color=”black”][vc_column_text]\u2022\u00a0 The workshop is aimed at young people from the African diaspora or immigrants, between the ages of 18 and 30;
