Os gestos cinematogr\u00e1ficos de Billy Woodberry (figura central do movimento de cinema afro-americano LA Rebellion), Ana Vaz (artista e cineasta) e Daniel Barroca (artista e investigador em antropologia visual) recorrem a diferentes estrat\u00e9gias de reemprego e reenquadramento das imagens de arquivo que revelam. A partir de uma s\u00e9rie de fotografias da campanha de pacifica\u00e7\u00e3o liderada pelo General Alves Ro\u00e7adas em 1907 no sul de Angola; de uma \u00fanica fotografia de um soldado portugu\u00eas na Guin\u00e9-Bissau em 1974; ou de uma colec\u00e7\u00e3o de desenhos feitos durante uma experi\u00eancia pedag\u00f3gica radical de alfabetiza\u00e7\u00e3o ap\u00f3s o massacre do povo Waimiri-Atroari para a constru\u00e7\u00e3o de uma auto-estrada durante a Ditadura Militar e Civil no Brasil, os tr\u00eas filmes suscitam quest\u00f5es semelhantes: como olhar, atrav\u00e9s de fotografias, para corpos de perpetradores e v\u00edtimas, c\u00famplices e resistentes? Como olhar hoje, a partir de um ponto de vista amer\u00edndio, para desenhos que denunciam aquilo a que alguns tentaram chamar progresso, moderniza\u00e7\u00e3o? Podem as imagens reescrever ou reparar a hist\u00f3ria?
