She graduated from the London College of Communication with a BA in Photography. Sara was one of the Magnum Photos & Photo London Graduate Award winners in 2016, she was also nominated for the Mack First Book Awards. Natural resources like clay, rocks and other organic found objects in conjunction with new media informs much of Sara’s work. Often incorporating sculptural works that resemble the earth, or directly reference the use of soil, her interest lays in our relationship to landscape and the origin of belonging. Much of Sara’s work involves research-led self-initiated projects, where usually at the core of their essence lay ideas surrounding anthropology. Using photography, sculpture, moving image and archive materials, Sara’s work attempts to blur into a space of its own; origin and fiction create narratives of her own provenance and deracination. Place and memory; a reflection on its mechanisms and the subjective methods of adaptation towards new surroundings is revisited throughout her works. By photographing, collecting and hand-making, Sara seeks to recreate lost-soil through constructing her own narratives.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”5px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_masonry_media_grid initial_loading_animation=”none” grid_id=”vc_gid:1587858753907-f594a6dd-bfc3-4″ include=”7936,7937,7938,7939,7940,7941,7942,7943″][/vc_column][/vc_row]

[168
243,286
post-16197","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-portfolios","tag-2017-en","tag-previous
["GET
