Her artistic process involves the research of themes and concepts around identity, intimacy, anonymity, gestural movements, the construction of the social body and the boundaries between the notions of public and private spaces. The inquiries made by Fl\u00e1via Bertinato are consequences of her own experience of being in the city and having it as an object of investigation.The social interaction, crimes, violence, the exposure of the erotic body and the consumption of cultural objects are some of the matters which the artist has been exploring throughout her career. Another characteristic of her work is the presence of allegorical figures drawn from a very diverse repertoire and treated in an emblematic way. The fairy tales, characters from national cinema and artistic genres are often quoted in her paintings, photographs, installations and sculptures.<br \/>\nFl\u00e1via Bertinato has participated in several collective and solo exhibitions in art galleries, museums and institutions, such as Pinacoteca do Estado de S\u00e3o Paulo, CCBB Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil, CCSP Centro Cultural S\u00e3o Paulo, MARP Museu de Arte de Ribeir\u00e3o Preto Pedro Manuel-Gismondi, Celma Albuquerque Galeria de Arte, Galeria de Arte Marilia Razuk, Museu de Arte da Pampulha and Pal\u00e1cio das Artes (Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Cl\u00f3vis Salgado).
