Hwang was selected as a finalist for Young Contemporary Talent 2018, the recipient of the Chadwell Award 2016, the third prize winner of the Bath Open Art Prize 2016, and the recipient of the Steer Memorial Prize 2011. Hwang has exhibited internationally, including solo exhibitions at Nunnery Gallery, London (2018); Galerie ERD, Seoul (2017); Project Gallery, Arundel (2016). She has participated in a residency at Bow Arts, London (2016-17) as part of winning the Chadwell Award, and in S\u00cdM Residency, Reykjav\u00edk (2015).
