Muitas ideias propagadas nunca foram questionadas ap\u00f3s o restabelecimento da democracia e ap\u00f3s as independ\u00eancias dos pa\u00edses de l\u00edngua portuguesa.<\/p>\n<p>Este curso livre discutir\u00e1 como \u00e9 que a propaganda \u2013 e a censura &#8211; do Estado Novo determinou as representa\u00e7\u00f5es relativas aos pa\u00edses de l\u00edngua portuguesa. Debater\u00e1 ainda as evid\u00eancias da (im)possibilidade de um outro olhar sobre as ex-col\u00f3nias portuguesas em obras de autor do Cinema Novo que foram censuradas e proibidas. Finalmente, abordar\u00e1 os usos do cinema pelos diferentes movimentos pol\u00edticos, durante as lutas de liberta\u00e7\u00e3o, e, p\u00f3s-independ\u00eancias, a emerg\u00eancia de projectos de cinema nacional em Mo\u00e7ambique, Angola e Guin\u00e9-Bissau.[\/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;BIOS&#8221; font_container=&#8221;tag:h4|text_align:left&#8221; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_separator color=&#8221;black&#8221;][vc_column_text]Maria do Carmo Pi\u00e7arra (doutoramento em Ci\u00eancias da Comunica\u00e7\u00e3o), \u00e9 jornalista, cr\u00edtica e programadora de cinema, al\u00e9m de professora universit\u00e1ria.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;\u00c9 bolseira da FCT (SFRH\/BPD\/93217\/2013) para desenvolver uma investiga\u00e7\u00e3o de p\u00f3s-doutoramento sobre \u201cCinema Imp\u00e9rio. Portugal, Fran\u00e7a e Inglaterra, representa\u00e7\u00f5es do imp\u00e9rio no cinema\u201d, no CECS-U.Minho e no CFAC-U. Reading. Publicou, entre outros t\u00edtulos e artigos, Azuis ultramarinos. Propaganda colonial e censura no cinema do Estado Novo\u201d (2015), Salazar vai ao cinemaI e II (2006, 2011), tendo editado, com Jorge Ant\u00f3nio, a trilogia Angola, o nascimento de uma na\u00e7\u00e3o(O cinema da propaganda, 2013; O cinema da liberta\u00e7\u00e3o, 2014; O cinema da independ\u00eancia, 2015) e, com Teresa Castro, (Re)Imagining African independence. Film, visual arts and the fall of the Portuguese empire (2017).
