Canibalia, redux<\/em> is an exhibition that examines the logics and imaginaries of cannibalism and the cannibal. Spanning from its colonial inception to its understanding as an ecosystemic perspective of being with<\/em> the world, the show attempts to chart and summon the visceral geography the cannibal conforms. The cannibal is here a devious figure which allows entering history from its back alleys -the body, the footnote, the jungle, the slave and the witch- as well as a cosmopolitical position of predation, symbiose and aggregation; a political imagination device and a centrifugal force of exchange, which devours and transforms along its way. Canibalia, redux <\/em>is a proposition to engage with the territory the cannibal inaugurates, as a counter-topia from where to (un)think cannibalism as a space of dissidence, desire, community, ecology and exchange.<\/p>\n
