Evgletta Shtohryn (UKtaine) lives and works in Malta. Her area of practice-based research incorporates themes like time and societal conventions, natural catastrophes, chance, entropy, alternative reality and multiverse using the media of video art, video games, simulations, performance and installation art. Letta Shtohr, as she is also known, was born two weeks after the Chornobyl disaster, which has been driving her interest in accidents, catastrophes, causality, natural disasters and human errors since a very young age.

In 2006, she moved to Vienna to study Photography and Philosophy/Anthropology at the University of Vienna until moving to Malta in 2012 for her first MA degree in Sociology (research in Sociology of Art) and Masters in Fine Arts in Digital art, where she explored societal conventions, myth, magical realist narrative creation, deterministic causality, chaos theory and time. During the MFA, she also conducted multidisciplinary research bridging geology and contemporary art.
